Eligent

Tells students which scholarships and opportunities they shouldn’t apply to, and quotes the exact clause that rules them out.

A live prototype, built in 24 hours at The Hive Sprint

For
Students applying for scholarships and other opportunities with strict eligibility rules.
My part
I built all of it: the eligibility engine, the website and the Chrome extension.
Built with
TypeScript, Chrome extension

How it works

Three verdicts

  • EligibleEvery rule on the official page is met.
  • Near missWith the exact gap, such as “0.2 CGPA short”.
  • Not eligibleWith the sentence from the official page that rules you out.

The reframe

Every tool in this space helps students apply to more things. Eligent helps them apply to fewer, better ones, and checks whether they should start at all.

On the real portal

A Chrome extension fills the form, refuses to fill one you aren’t eligible for, and compares the documents the portal demands with the official list. The human always clicks submit.

Decisions

Arithmetic, not AI

The eligibility engine makes zero LLM calls. A profile goes in, a verdict comes out, and every verdict can be checked against the rule it came from.
